I'm really dying for some music, especially when I'm on the go; I'm a little apprehensive about buying a new iPod at this point, though. Apple's going to be updating their iPod line soon and it would suck to buy an old model just before the release of something more current. Should I wait or just buy? I REALLY want music, but I can wait it out a month+ if I really have to. Any opinions here?

do you always get the latest item/gadget phone/ipod ect.ect.. that comes out ?
do you like to show your friends that my i pod can do this and that ?
or do you just want something to play your music ?

Well, it sounds like you already made up your mind. If you want conformation, YES if it is important for you to have the latest model. Wait!

    Oh but you can't wait...
Buy a cheap Sansa View. I bought a 8G for 25 USDs. It plays music just as well as the ipod. I do like ipods for audio books, otherwise for music, the View is superior.
