well... first of all, you could desctibe what your actually doing.

secondaly, try looking in C: > program files > ipod > ( the updater you want )

[bold]BUT[/bold] if your ipods firmware is 1.2 ( go to itunes when your ipod is plugged in and click on your ipod to see ) then you will need to apply the theme directly to the ipod

[bold]NOTE:[/bold] ensure the theme is for the correct updater/firmware.

I found the update spot and the right firmware to use. However when i go to update it says that i have the wrong service version or something like that.

well, you get different firmwares on your ipod, so you need to get the theme for the correct firmware.

look back a few posts and you will see.

No it still doesnt work. Like in the ipodwizard the new theme shows up when i pick my ipod firmware. Then i write it. Then i go to ihack and patch and then when i go to my firmware to update it so that my theme will go on my ipod it says that i have an invalid firmware or something like that i cant remember the exact error message it is something about the wrong firmware though.

    dude, you have 1.2

that means you need to write it directly to the iPod

so in the top-left corner select ipod instead of updater

no offense taken. I tried that and it still does not open. I can get it to open if i do Run As but it does not detect my ipod that way. Keep in mind i am using 1.2
