    Lethal B,

    Links are down or dead for the RockBox Tutorial and I can't seem to find it on the site after I searched :( Please provideo new link or mirror. Also, I have a iPod Video(30Gb) 5g (not 5.5g) I think, But my firmware is the latest (1.2.1) will rockbox still be able to install. And will all my files get deleted on the iPod after I install RockBox.

    Thanks Again

    @ lethal -- how the hell did you do that!? everytime i try (following your tut) i have to force the iPod into disc mode cos when i reboots / turns on (whatever) it just turnes off and gets stuck in an infinate loop.

    but im going to try again, cos this kind of sh*t always happens to me, something doesn't work, then when somebody else gets involved it works fine... so now i know it can be done, i'll give it a blast... again :p

    @3dlius -- here you go

    Hey Lethal. Haven't talked to you in awhile....but anyways...

    Is there an update to the rockbox file downloads in the guide because all the links in your tutorial are out of date and they don't work any more.

    hey i tried to put a theme on my video ipod i guess that would be a 5g ipod for about an hour last night but it didnt work...i even followed steps from the flash tutorials on the theme forums but no go..the firmware i have on my computer are the the 2005-11-17 one and the another one i cant remember it exactly but i think its 2006-6-23..

    if i open updater and use the 2006 one which version of firmware do i have 1.0, 1.1, or 1.2?

    I used the 2006 one, loaded my ipod version 13.6.1.1, downloaded my theme that i wanted (1.2 BAPE/ Baby Milo Theme) extracted it to a new folder and used the Load All button on IpW...when i clicked ok, its like nothing happened i scrolled through the pictures and there were no changes..

    So later i thought maybe i have to update my ipod with the modified firmware for it to actually look different...went into ipod folder in drive C clicked the 2006 updater...it loads the universal ipod updater, but then exits out and give me an error message so i cant even update my ipod..
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    just write it direct to the iPod. (select ipod in the top left hand side of iPodwizard)

    try forcing the iPod into disc mode... to do so hold "MENU + CENTRE" then as soon as the screen / display changes "PLAY + CENTRE" when connected too your computer.

    tell me if it works or not.

    did you hold "PLAY + CENTRE" immediately after the apple logo appeared?
