I am trying to update my nano firmware to 1.2 - I know it sucks, but I need it for the Nike + thingee. Anyway, current version is 1.0.2. Itunes is 7.0. 7.0.1.8 to be precise).

When I try to run the stand-alone updater 26.06.2006 that includes v1.2, I get a message that I have to update via iTunes. I have had iTunes check for updates time and time again - nothing. And yet, on my start-up screen when my nano is synched, the update button is greyed out (can't be selected) and there's a message that says my ipod is up to date.

    So I can't update to 1.2!!

Help, please. Ok, I'm an idiot newbie. Now will you help me?

I know there were lots of problems with 1.2 Is it possible that Apple took it out of iTunes temporarily?

    Thanks

I havn't found any glitches with 1.2 besides the fact that holding down Menu brings you to root instead of turning the backlight on and off, which isn't a glitch just something that pisses me off.

Anyway, does iTunes recognize that it has the 1.2 firmware?
