Miglia Technology today announced the release of a free software update for its EvolutionTV digital video recorder for the Mac. The version 2.6 update adds real-time video compression for the fifth-generation iPod as well as the Sony PSP. “EvolutionTV is the only digital video recorder to offer real-time iPod encoding,” says Miglia. “Real-time encoding removes the need to go through a software export step, a very lengthy operation.”
Sweet! How much dose the EvolutionTV digital video recorder cost (You said that only a update) Will it work for a PC? ~Domreis

Anyone hear about the Apple event at Cupertino on 2/28/06 Tuesday. They are supposed to be relaeasing something new, probably not the new ipod video. Too early. It's most probably a MacBook with a 13" display replacing the old iBook. THe price is probably the same. I hope the release some new iPod accessories too. Anyone else know any details. Here's the link about the MacBook: http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/25/macbook-a-13-inch-widescreen-with-magsafe-and-isight/
There are many things that "might" happen at the Apple event Feb. 28, 2006 at Cupertino ,CA The invite-only event kicks off at 10:00am Pacific at the Apple Town Hall Building. The event has sparked speculation by analysts about what Apple might introduce at the upcoming event. American Technology Research expects Apple to announce "its first, full-length films available for download on iTunes". This would expand iTunes content beyond the music, music videos and television episodes currently available. ATR also expects a widescreen consumer notebook and an entry level Mac mini which includes a remote control and FrontRow software. In what may provide possible confirmation, FreeMacBlog claims that Apple is no longer taking large orders for Mac minis, suggesting that they may have cleared out current inventory. view source ---------> http://www.macrumors.com/

I didn't get excited about it, because it was just a rumour. However, I do beleive the 6g iPod will use a similar design concept.
I was wondering how long you think it would take for a new 6G ipod to come out of the works and if it did would it use a virtual clicweel or a setup on the back witch i have heard some rumours about? -Jan123
oh alright, if it is relaesed at that time would it have the flaws that will seem to occur fixed in the screen
The largest problem as far as I'm concerned with a touch screen display would be the lack of a good way to soft-reset your iPod if it froze up. Unless they added a button or somehow enabled the hold button to do it. I certaintly can't see the new iPod being any less prone to freezing then any other iPod or computer for that manner.
