my thoughs are that they would have to develop a better battey than the 5G because when i watch videos on my 5G i get 2 hours at best. with a bigger screen, and more advanced there would have to be a new battery put in it.
Batteries are at about there maximum capacity, the most they can do now really is make the technology using them more efficent, or just less draining overall. Supporting such a big screen is going to be a fairly draining technology, possibly an organic display [Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they consume less power?] If you look at the diffrences between the current iPod models [30 gig and 60 gig] the reason the 60 gig gets more battery life isn't because it has a bigger battery [they're the same size] but because it doesn't have to access it's hardrive as often.
maybe in addition to the normal battery charger, they use a solar charge as well so it sort of charges a bit as your using it. this will increase battery life dramatically, i presume.
this really ruined my day..... check out this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPNgzz870F4&feature=Views&page=1&t=t&f=b
No, don't worry about stickys. We only need things stickied if they are useful. It's nice to share information in threads like these, but stickys aren't necessary ;-)
Today apple released the Mac Mini with intel chips, the new iPod HiIF Home Stereo, Apple Leather Case ($100).
I think it is very steep. It should be like $50 or less. Olso the iPod can't be used through the case. You have to take the iPod out. Since it is $100 they should at least make an opening for the screen and for the click wheel. The Nano case should be less too. WHo is actually going to buy one of these?
Seeing as iPods are so susceptible to scratches, I recommend anyone interested in protecting their iPod get an iSkin. Combined with a screen protector, they provide fantastic protection from scratches, dirt and other everyday occurrences..
The 6g will most likely have build in wirless. I read somewhere that they are planning on it. cause camras and mp3 are already have build in wirless. I read that you can watch movies wirlessly in 6g after you buy it. If they don't, I will bet you 200% that they will put it in in the 7g. But i think they will put it in in the 6g.
[bold]iPod Hi-Fi High-Fidelity Speaker System for iPod[/bold] Yesterday's big announcement from Apple? A premium iPod speaker system called iPod Hi-Fi ($349), a white box with rounded corners and a removable black fabric front grille. Inside the grille are three very large drivers - two 80mm mid-range speakers and one 130mm central bass speaker (a dual voice coil woofer), flanked by an Infrared sensor and a small light to indicate status. The light shines through the grille when you control the system from a distance with an Apple Remote, which is included in the box. Here's a picture of it.. that is just way to expensivve for a system like that...you could buy a really nice shelf system for 100 bucks less than that adn buy a 15 dollar cable and play ur music through that system...just seems like a waste of money to me...
yeah, seems like a waste, but if it is meant only for the ipod, it probably sounds awesome. plus, having everything match (like every thing apple) makes it even better, lol
iTunes2Web 1.0 announced SlipperySoft announced version 1.0 of iTunes2web. iTunes2web exports an iTunes music library into a web page. The software features the ability to export album art, can link albums to Google, Amazon, or the iTMS, and offers an efficient AJAX backend that minimizes the bandwidth needed to view created libraries. The developer says the stylesheets are easily modifiable, allowing experienced users to customize the appearance of web pages. The program also allows users to restrict the export of files--users can select the entire library, or individually select playlists, albums, and songs to export onto the web page. iTunes2web is shareware and costs $12.50.
