Ipod playing on tv has interference

    Evenin' all. I connected my I-pod to my tv today through an av to rca cable . Connects no problem, but with my I-pod's volume up to max, I get bad lines across the picture. But if I turn down the volume on the I-pod and increase the volume on the tv , I have a very "low , bass type " interference on the volume. Any ideas anyone ?
