    Hi,

Hope someone can help me! I have an colour IPOD 30Gb photo. Until recently it worked fine, but since it froze (I let it drain power to unfreeze it) - it now no longer gets recognised within Windows or Itunes.

I have been through the ITunes helpfiles, tried soft resetting etc. to no avail. I have tried putting the IPOD in disk mode, when it says "Ok to disconnect" (it says this whether its connected to my pc or not). I have also tried installing itunes on a new pc, but still it won't detect the IPOD.

It has no error msgs or warning icons when I start it.

Would be grateful of any assistance?...

    Cheers,

    Al.

When you connect it to your computer, can you see it in "My Computer" as a mass storage device?

No it won't appear in My Computer. It used to pop up with a balloon saying recognising new hardware etc. and then displaying it as a drive, but it no longer does anything.

I have not added any other peripherals to my computer since.
