    Hello people,

I want to contribute my method of converting any audio format

mp3, wav, wma, etc to m4b > audiobook format that u can start where you left off.

    Tools that you will need

    Nero 6.X.X.X version
    Batch command:

    Instructions

Most people when they purchase a cdwriter it comes bundled with Nero. So most of us will have this software loaded on their PC.

    1. Start Nero SmartStart
    2. Go to Press on the "Music Note Icon" or Audio
    3. Select Encode Audio Files
    4. Select "Nero digital Audio (HE-ACC) (*.mp4)
    5. Click Add
    6. Add your mp3,wma, and etc.
    7. Take note where the mp4 will be stored

Once done we just need to make a simple batch command

    1. go to Start
    2. Go to Run
    3. Type Notepad

Type this in without the quotes
    "rename *.mp4 *.m4b"

    Save the file as Rename.cmd

Now place the Rename.cmd in the same folder as the mp4 files
    that you just created.

Double Click on rename.cmd and It will rename all the mp4 to m4b automatically.

The reason I do it this way rather than the other method is...
    1. It is free I already have nero on my PC.
    2. It is FREE!

So if we upload the m4b's to the ipod they will automatically go under the audioboooks section of the ipod, instead of the music?
