Was playing a movie on video iPod connected to TV when I touched the iPod and got a small static shock....the TV screen went white and the iPod is now frozen. Does not respond to connection to iTunes or AC charger; buttons do not work either. Plugged the cables back into iPod but to no avail.

Am I out of luck? I do have the Apple Protection plan. Any suggestions at this point?

    thanks!

Very difficult to let something run out of battery that won't turn on. I would say hope its still under warranty and bring it back. Even if it isn't under warranty I would bring it to an Apple store, they'll at least look at it for you.

Well, it turns out that you can 'reset' the iPod by pressing the Menu and the middle of the wheel at the same time for about 6-10 sec until the Aplle logo appears. Now it works fine!

    Pass that along........

    thanks

Generally the iPod has to be somewhat responsive for that to work, which is why I didn't suggest it. Glad its up and running for you!
