Is it possible to play video files from a cd-r on playstation?

    No, Playstation doesn't even support video cd.

    actualy yes it does but you have to have an original ps1 with the I/O
    port on the back and a vds player for the ps1 check ebay or import shops that sell older stuff.

    I could be wrong, but I think you need a mod chip for that.

    sorry to say you are the vcd player came out of chine in the first half of the ps1s lifetime it never made a big splash here in the states cause the dvd was released.

    if i do have a i/o port does that mean i can make a backup of the game and play it off a cdr if so please tell peace

    actualy yes just get ahold of an action replay for the ps1 and when using it just push the black switch on the side down and when you boot up us an original ps1 game and when you get to the main menu just swap them.

    by the way you have to use somthing to hold down the open door butten.
