Is my .avi progressive or interlaced?

    How can I find out what type an .avi is, progressive or interlaced?I have Gspot and aviCodec, but non seem to show what the avi is if its progressive or interlaced! or can I assume that all avi's are progressive???

    Please help

    What codec? Because it is down to the codec, not the fact that it is avi. For instace a x264 avi will always be progressive as x264 doesn't (yet) support interlaced.

    Generally speaking you can tell just by playing something if it is interlaced. If it is MPEG4 (XviD, DivX, etc.) try MPEG4Modifier.
