    lmaosix,
Try your hard drive in your brothers computer as a slave(check the jumpers on the back).Format it from within windows, IE:right click on the drive then select format.Take it out then set it back to master.Put it back in your comp and try reinstalling windows.
Also try both your memory chips individually in different slots.

I have tried using my brother computer to boot my hdd. It did not work however. Might bebecuase its a bit old. I am now on my uncles computer. He has a sempron, so his was able to read my hdd. So i know for sure my Hdd i not the problem. As for the memory, I have tried bootign with only 1 memory chip. And it freezes b4 the welcome screen. I booted with the chip in the right slot, and it freezes, and i tried booting with one just in the left slot, and it wont star at all. I originally tried with the memory in the left slot, as in north american we usually do things left to right, so weird at only the right slot works when only 1 chip is in. i have ttried bootign with both my 512 chips, and they both freeze at the same spot. I tried again with my graphics card out, as it has turbo cacche and uses some of my ram for video, but sitll no luck. WHere do i go from here .

    lmaosix,
If you uncles computer reads the drive,do what I said, set the drive to slave(which is what I assume you already did)then format it,set it back to master then try re-installing windows with your computer.Don't forget to set your cd-rom/dvd-rom as the first boot device. After windows loads the setup files then restarts,it tell you to press any key to boot from your cd,dont press anything just leave it.It will continue loading windows and hopefully you'll be ok.Don't be concerned about the memory,if you use only 1 stick only 1 slot will work. The reason I said try 1 stick in all the slots is because I wasn't sure if you board has 1,2,3or4 slots.

i will move all the files i want to keep to my D drive and format the C drive. But i dont think this will work, because i have tried putting on thermal paste and did it wrong, again. after my first attempt i wiped down the cpu and heat sink, the heat sink was hard to clean, everytime i tried rubbing ide still get the same amout of grease on the napkin. I applied the thermal paste again and i might have left a bubble, becuase iyt still wouldnt boot. I cleaned the cpu and heat sink again. Tomorrow i could be getting the new parts i ordered. I ordered a new case, new mobo, and AMD 3700 s939. Paste should be included. i searched up thermal paste on youtube and saw a video of how to apply it, so i think it got it. I wont format yet, ill have to learn how to apply the paste, as im sure i will have to do it for my new cpu.

    OK!!,
I just fixed a friend of my wifes computer that has exactly the same symptoms as yours(BSOD,Irq less than or not equal to).BAD MEMORY!I had a spare 256mb chip here.Took out the 512mb chip, put in the 256mb chip clear the cmos booted straight up.Take out the 256 put the 512 back in,no boot.So if you can try some different memory and see how you go!

i have a friend with an uncle that works at HP. His job is repairing computers. When he asked him wht could be wrong with mine, he said that when u take out the cpu and the mother board or the person touching it isnt grounded, then the cpu will get fried. Itll work but stop at a certain point. Could this have happened o me
