Is the new HDMI V1.3 needed for video or audio

    I am looking into buying a new Denon AV receiver. I believe the 2807 and 3806 are only HDMI 1, not the new 1.3.

    I do plan on getting a HD DVD player and a Sony PS3 with in a year, and was wondering if the HDMI 1.3 is needed on the receivers in order to get the audio and/or video benefits of the HD.

    I believe it is not needed for video, but what about the "lossless" audio HD DVD claims?
