i have heard from several people in real life and mentioned on forums that it is possible for some xbox games to be backed up and played without a modchip or boot disc. Is this true are there any games like this or and decrypters/programs that can achieve such a feat?

Yeah you can do that if you have one of those press burners that companies use to make copies of games for distribution.

It is the UDE exploit. Look for Ldot's Ltools. It is an exploit the forces Linux thru a gamesave in mechassult. After that you can install Evox or MXM

the stock xbox hdd is about 10 gigs but here's how they partitioned it.

    C:500mb (OS)
    D:0(dvd drive)
    E:5.0gigs(gamesaves)
    F:0(Empty or so later explained)
X,Y,Z:428mb (cache or why the xbox moves to fast)

I know what your thinking, only about 7 gigs or so making it about an 8gig hdd but the F: has 2gigs on it that are hidden that can be unlocked just by formatting the partition but it makes it about a 10 gig hdd (yes all hdd's are not exact if you didn't know that)

    Hope that helps a little,
    Degalle

(PS you would only get about one xbox game on there and maybe two depending on the size of the game, but for something like Return to castle wolfestein it's about 4.7 gigs so you can see why)
