I was wondering if there is a program that is capable of adding subtitles to videos. I'm looking for something that can actually translate the audio and generate the subtitles from random movies that I've downloaded. It appears that such a program does not exist.

I could safely say that there's no software that could actually generate subtitles out of audio track of the movie.

Personally I would recommend VobSub if you wan't to see subtiles when you watch DivX movies on your PC. You also need to have the actual subtile files (.sub or .srt) to make it work.

You should try VirtuaDub or VirtuaDubMod, but still u need the srt File to add in subtitles.
