The last track on my CD skips without fail, it appears to skip at different points and not one specific part.
The disc is an original and has no scratches at all, but it does apear to have a imperfection on the outer area of the disc that would explain the problem.

    My question is this:
Is there any software that is good at reading and creating MP3's of troublesome discs?

My ultimate goal is to rip it to an MP3 and put it on my player so I wont have to deal with it anymore but I need advice on how I can create a good MP3 with the skipping issue.

    Yes,

321 studios has one thats called CD Xrescue.

    www.321studios.com

It will read the cd unil it has copied the info from it and allow you to copy that info to a new blank disk.

It works fairly well. I usually find discarded scratched disk off the street and copy the info off.
Now thats pretty good, dont you think?
The cost is around 40 or 50 bucks.
