Hi, I have a compaq armada M700 with a dvd-rom DRD-U424. I failed to read a home DVD video recorded in a DVD+RW which I can play well in a stand alone player. I did check in the site http://www.dvdplusrw.org for the compatibilty list. It said the dvd+rw is not supported by DRD-U424 model. But it also said it may be possible to upgrade a firmware to read the DVD+R(W) disk. Anyone has this kind of experience?

    Thanks for the interests

    Paul

Firmware upgrades are free. Maybe the site was busy. Keep trying, it should work.
