Is there Irish fix for The Box & The Box Super

I see what you mean no sign of it, it must be awkward to code for these if only 1 person could do it.

 

have heard about this before some bloke calling himself mr beamo or something like that sends you a link to fix your box ive been hearing about it the last week in ireland ive yet to see a working box though

 

I've been hearing stuff like this for a while too but the same again no working boxes on nthell.

 

yip, no one can actually confirm with solid proof on nthell they have a working one, perhaps its chorus network not sure,

 

like i said, some1 said it to somebody that there is a fix out now for the box or super.aint that how rumors start?,
when somebody says they have a fix thats different and if they dont show its there perogitive as mickah said, or else they are lying.

 

yes the first 1 i see working i will be running around to there house to flash mine of theres lol do u no if the great sunrise has ever put up a tut on how to do it

 

as the saying goes, show me the body and the smoking gun, until someone comes up with solid proof as I said above, I wont believe it.

 

There is a fix for the dreambox, on cable and mmds, for nt hell and korus, its a hypercam fix,and has also been rolled into a flash image , so no reason why it cant be modded to work on The box/ Starview, if its not out yet , give it time, although im no expert on these boxes, so it depends if the files can be FTP'd or flashed to them. But bottom line is , the fix for Ireland is out, just depends if you got the right box. Luckly i do. DreamOn.

the firmware is a bit different on the dream and the SV, SV is closed source whereas the dream is open, so unless you have the source you cant change the firmware

 

If there are open source fixes how come no-one fixed the others yet other than rumours?

@ steo, different beast the linux stuff, Linux is open source code, for example the Western Media Digital hub, is made by Western Digital, but the source code is Linux Open source, so some peeps went off and created their own firmware which turned the box from a media player into a streaming media player, the dreambox etc works the same way, anyone with the Linux knowledge can work with the firmware, unfortunatly, the SV and such are closed source,
