I saw a number of these eight days ago, in a clearence bin at the local Staples for $36.95 after $20 mail in rebate. I came very close to buying one or two of them (even though I do not need them as I have two name-brand known quality DVD burners already.)

After I went home I found this:
    http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters...&buffer=Any&list=0&orderby=Name&Search=Search

The user reviews seem to be neutral to negative about it. I am glad I did not buy it after seeing those reviews.

Normally it is best to stick to a well known brand. But hey i replaced my old 2x speed pioneer with a lite on multi format 4 speed which was recomended to me.To be honest i had never heard of them but 6 months on i can't complain. If you got it cheap give it a whirl.dvd writers are now really cheap compared to when i purchased my first. Also with the dual layer and other formats comeing out we all might be looking for another updated one soon
