I could not get the second link to work.
If you can build your own computer i would highly recommend it.
http://www.newegg.com is a great place to buy parts
That computer is pretty crappy if you ask me.

The second choice is alot faster on everything except possibly the processor. I have never been priveleged enough except to use pentiums for work.

I would still highly suggest building your own. It is always possible to upgrade components if you do.

It isn't hard at all to build one....The motherboard has a manuel and do other components...All it is....Is basically putting parts on the motherboards....It isn't as hard as you think.....

I would not say either one of those pc's are not good. What I am trying to say is that when you buy the parts seperately and piece them together yourself it is always better quality. Sometimes it is even cheaper also. But they can make those computers cheap because they use the cheapest parts possible. I will see how much a comparible system would cost to build.

I was looking at parts to try and compare but they do not list enough details to be exact if it would be cheaper to build it yourself. I know i am very happy that i built my first and second computer than buying a dell as people suggested. Come to find out after building my computer dell only load Windows XP that has some type of dell serial.

I am sorry but i couldnt help but put together a top of the line machine at those specs you stated.
The total price including Windows Media Center is probably a little less than 1500 with shipping. This is running 2 SATA hard drives at 3GB/s with raid 0. This is what you want if you are going to be doing videos. The only problem with raid 0 is that if one hard drive fails you lose all the info on both. So as long as the information is not that important you should run raid 0. So it would be running at 6GB/s! I do not have a machine that fast yet :(. Here are the specs.
Wow, that came out a little more expensive but i can almost gaurantee you that there is a differenc in quality. I can say that because i built my machine and i know a guy that bought his from walmart with all these great specs and my machine kicks his bad.

I am sure it could be priced down to match walmarts computer but you are going to lose some performance. That is one kick ass machine there.
