is this burner any good

    i haven't heard much about the PHILIP'S drives i would go with the

    Pioneer DVR-212

    or

    Lite-on 20A1S

    both are really good sata drives

    don't get the Plextor PX-810SA there re-badged Pioneers with an NEC chipset plus there 89.00 dollars

    Never been a big lover of the pioneer drives myself although i do have one hooked up to one of my systems.I would say go for a Lite-on myself there really reliable drives.I have 3 different type of Sata dvd writers hooked up to my main system and the Lite-on truely out performs the other two.
