    I have backed up a dvd and the picture is now narrower (hieght wise)can I use ifoedit or something else to change the display size to full screen.

    did you switch from full screen to wide screen on your player? look for the setup function on your remote control. maybe your movie is perfect and your player is set to wide screen?
