okay, being a newbie i am completely helpless.
i am in the process of downloading a dvd iso file. but along with the iso file is a very small mds file. the iso file is 4.31 gig and the mds file is 4.2 kg. now i am used to dealing iso files, but i had never come across a mds file that came along with an iso. i have absolutely no idea of what to do. so my question is, what do i do with the iso file and the mds file, and what program do i use to have the image burned correctly, i own DVD Decrypter, nero, alcohol 120% and UltraIso. i only own 1 more dvd-r, i used all my other ones so i got only ONE SHOT at trying this, i am broke so i cant afford to go out and buy more if i mess up. I would greatly apreciate help as soon as possible

use dvd decrypter, and select the MDS file

the mds acts in the same way as a cue file does for a bin image

it gives the information, for burning the iso image

some people say, they just burn the iso,but the MDS is there for a reason, and i see no reason not to use it

    on another note
dvd decrypter is a very useful app indeed,
people who still use FAT32, and struggle to copy single files over 4GB, use this program to overcome this.

dvd decrypter will split the iso into 2 PARTS,it will produce an MDS file, which you must select, thus then the 2 parts will be joined back together

just for clarification. so are you saying to select just the mds and not the iso or select them both?

As hursty said, just the MDS file.
