Someone please help! I burn an ISO file to DVD using Nero and when I put the disc in my dvd player all I get is "ERROR". I can't play the disc on my computer either. Is it something I am doing wrong or is it just a bad file maybe? Thanks in advance.

Did you burn it with 'Burn image...' function?
ISO is an image format and it surely won't work if you burn it as data.

I burned it as an image and I am using version 6.3.0.0. Thanks for the feedback.

Sounds like you burned a data disk, not dvd format. If you are trying to make a back-up of a dvd-video disk, you can us one of the guides here: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ if you are trying to turn a avi, mpeg, mpeg2 file etc into a dvd-video disk then you will need some authoring software like in this guide: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm
or you can look through the dvd-r guides to find another authoring guide, but you will need some type of authoring software.

If that does not help, what does the file consist of? you might need to convert the ISo into another format to burn the disk as a dvd-video disk

All I can tell you is that it is an ISO file. When I try to open the file Easy CD Creator open up like I am going to burn it. As far as what is exactly in the file, I can't tell you that. I hope I answered your question. If not try again.

I was burning it at 4X. I'm beginning to think it is just a bad file.

I have the same problem. downloaded an *.img file (The last samurai) 4.36GB, converted it to an ISO using MagicISO...burned it using nero 6.3 at 2x.

Im using Ritek DVD's with my Liteon LWD411s.

    Can anyone help? Thanx!
