I did have a chipped xbox with Slayers Evox and a Duo X2 modchip - the soldering came apart (wasn't a very good job) so I got my friend to open it up and attempt to re-solder, we bought a de-soldering solder sucker tool and fine tip solder - the previous job has been done so badly we can't remove the solder - scratching, solder sucking, compressed air, NOTHING will get rid of it as it has been soldered to the other side of the board (D0 point) I've been trying all night and I'm just going to leave it, I have also damaged the green of the motherboard and the state my xbox is in there is no way I want to continue trying to re-solder - I had a post over here thread_view.cfm/664007 but I think it is time for a new post, I have just tried to do a hot-swap following this tutorial - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/548462 I followed this exactly, downloaded all the software including the clean MS Dash files and made the bootable cd, I followed each step using "XboxHD", it stated that it had re-built constructed C, E and F (I think it was in that order) and all was well, I re-plugged everything back to normal in my xbox and booted the console up, and I still get the same error screen 05 - with green foreign language (I think this error code means my xbox HDD isn't locked), now I think the hot-swap went ok but I do recall my xbox not being lockable thinking back to when I tried to lock it with the LOCK/UNLOCK feature on Slayers Auto-Install disc, I have been trying to get my xbox running for a a while now could you guys please help me out, it would be much appreciated - Thanks, Tim
