when I change to newer version of decryptor it also changed my dvd writer to DAO when it was working in DMA on the previous version.

    Don't be silly you !!!

It'll be DMA or PIO , you're reffering to DAO {Disc-At-Once write mode , which IS what ya want)
Your drive should still be DMA enabled.

herbsman - can you elaborate. I don't understand what you mean here. Is there something else I need to change. The DMA issue is now OK.
How do I change my Write Type from SAO To DAO?

I'm not a PC technician so I'd suggest asking in DVD Decrypter forum(s) : http://forum.dvddecrypter.com/

    [You'll need to register]

Also , if you're having problems with this new version of DVD Decrypter , why not revert back to a previous version that worked fine (??)

I really wish someone had answered my questions above.
I think the problems are solvable, but have lost a lot of confidence in burning with Decrypter.
At last count, I had 5 out of 6 failed burns with that application.
I started burning with Nero and have had 8 straight successes.
The desire to learn what the problem is, still motivates me. That's the main reason why I don't go back to the old version.
I still say that I had very few problems until the last two 'improved' versions came out. And a better than 50% failure rate since.
I'll take your advice and try the other forum.

Len, you could try mooching about a bit on the official DVD Decryptor forum, i see quite a few posts on there asking similar things about the new versions. I think you'll find the fault won't be down to decryptor but you never know
