^^My trucks HP probably eclipses your cars at half the RPM. LOL

Got my Dremel for Christmas about 3 years ago, mostly use it for buffing and polishing...it is handy for cutting off rusty bolts as well.

lmao, that's cool, loco; i like my high-revving power, though. it makes conservative driving very fuel efficient, yet still give me the ability to spool up the engine and go. ^.^ second gear goes to 60 mph, and for a 4-banger, that isn't half bad. i can also run fifth down to 20 mph!

    *edit*
i keep a dremmel in the toolbox in my trunk as part of the BOB gear in there. comes in handy a lot, though normally i'm fixing broken stuff at people's houses when i visit, not doing roadside repair while running from terrorits/authority.

i think they have been around a bit longer than that. mine does not have the built in speed control but an external speed control which i like better.

I vaguely recall them 10-15 years ago, dose the unit with no speed control weigh less and is it less bulky?

that would make it nice ^^

If it was up to me, I'd dremmel down the titles to just "Member Since" <date joined> followed by number of relevent posts and number of irrelevant posts, filtering out the number of posts supporting CMC-MAG disks.
I've had a dremmel since 1984, started building model airplanes, still use it today for numerous projects. Works great to put fillings in the kid's teeth. (just kidding)
Congrats on the 500 posts by the way.

@Auslander, 250,000 posts, a momentous occasion, one which be celebrated worldwide, and at which time ddp will pay to surgically attach new fingers to replace the ones you have worn out from all of this typing. What title will they have for that level?
