itunes music to mp3

hi, i just downloaded a song from itunes, and it's an m4p file, and i want to convert it to mp3, i have read threads on that on here, and it says you can do it right in itunes, where you can convert them to mp3, i tried that, but it says it can't convert copyrighted material.is there other ways to do it? thanks.

 

Within iTunes, burn your tracks to a disc, then rip them to whatever format you prefer
