I am trying to make an iso., using xiso. In my Evolution x_v1_8_3752 folder, I have one folder skins, and default.exe file plus evox config settings.
Following the guide, I open xiso/make a xiso, click on evolution folder, and the skin folder comes up. When I save, save as, xiso making appears, with generating tree files, but nothing happens. Am I correct in saying that only the default.xbe is turned into an iso, if so, shouldn't it appear in the xiso. Help would be much appreciated

Is the evox config settings file the same as a evox.ini file?

Sorry to be a pain, but this is what I find in solution and it doesn't make sense to me

Put in c:\windows\system32 if you have it
Put in c:\windows\system if you have it
Put in Root folder for craxtion.
    Files include comdlg32.ocx, msdxm.ocx, misinet.ocx
    hope this solves your problems,

    Good Luck

yep there the files what i was telling you in the folder and thats the txt file
do as it says move all those files to
    the places it says
you can find them if you look on your c: drive (pc) and go down to where it says windows look for the system 32 or system folder and copy them over i have both folders so i copied them to both to make sure
the files are ALL the ocx honest its really easy

by default it is in creation mode, just click that button at the motton that says "add folder" (pretty sure thats what it says), then find your folder with the game files in it, you gotta double click it so it opens the folder and see's the default.xbe or it will say it's not valid or something. then just keep clicking thru the "next" buttons, make sure you tell it the destination to put the iso, the xbe's should be patched automatically, do not create the iso in the same folder as the original files. i'm sure there are also help files on craxtion.com

as darthnip said ..I just drag the file in that I want to extract the files from ....... patch it .......and then extract the files .....

unsure if you are creating or extracting ......either way you just select which mode you want and make sure you assign folders for the files you will be making click extract and you should be away

Got my boot disc isoed and burned on cdr as well as cdrw just to make sure and checked out on my grandson's xbox. I have to take it during work hours when he isn't using it. Craxtion did the job for me after xiso just stopped.
Just a question as a matter of interest: The iso is in RAR format. Is this normal, because of the size? (That could be two questions)
Thanks once again for the help

yes rar's are very common, just like winzip but better. Size isn't really an issue, it's just a good way to have everything in 1 file.
there's alot of people that have had problems with xISO, craxtion seems to be the favorite.
