I'm using WinDV to capture DV from my camcorder. How can I join u the many little avi files that WinDV makes? On the WinDV website, it says "easy AVI joining - record multiple files joined to the DV device just using wildcards". What does that mean? Is that only refering to recording onto the camcorder? How about joining captured avi files?

There's a small tutorial at this link.

Thanks. I'll try it out. It doesn't seem to mention how WinDV can join smaller avi files to make one big avi file but how Windows MovieMaker can do it. The problem with MovieMaker, I found so far, is it doesn't output avi files, only the silly Windows video files. Did I misread it?

You can use VirtualDub using "Direct stream processing" option and appending the avi files one after the other.
