    lafawnduh and andersg learn the rules.if the swearing is directed towards a broken xbox or computer it may be accepted but no swearing at other forum members.and they shouldnt have to remove your post cause they contain foul language.

    PS. Just wondering how do you become a moderator ? do you have to work for afterdawn or something lol ?

    Don't sweat it andersg. Just remember to send me a pm if anything like this happens again so I can do all the swearing and name calling (that I love so dearly) ;)

    To become a Mod you have to have several things going for you - hundreds if not thousands of quality posts, good technical knowlege of the forum subjects and most importantly, the respect of the existing Mods who are the ones who nominate new Mods :)

    How long do you firgure that it would take me to become a mod ?
    and will the lafondah guy be allowed back in now that he is banned or does he have to wait a while

    anders, you would have to make a lot of....changes before you could ever be eligible for mod consideration. only the most exemplary members, after working hard on this site for a number of years, become mods. out of a half million registered users, we have about a dozen mods; that should give you a good idea of your odds. besides, you shouldn't be coming here just to become a mod; that shows you to be power-hungry, immature, lonely, and quite possibly a type sadist :p

    lafawnduh won't be allowed back ever, but the guy could simply create a new account with a new name and be back today.

    and how is the xbox 360 contest anywhere near relevant to the regular xbox forums? you need to learn to follow the rules and obey common sense around here, amigo.

    this particular forum (as show near the top of the page) is the Xbox Forum, and therefore about the Xbox.

    AD, in general, is a tech forum, covering everything from gaming to computer hardware/software to dvd/cd backups, and most things in between.

    go to the Forums tab at the top of your page to see.

    why would you want to become a mod of one of the largest tech forums in the world when you don't even know what it's about? that confuses me.

    I Recently got BitTorrent To help me download files, supposedly faster. But they were goin slow so someone on this forum told me to go forward the ports. Now Do I need Something to protect those ports from anything goin into them ? Or are they safe ?
