Hi: I just bought a Lite On external DVD writer 8x. I set it up fine, loaded the software. I put a non encrypted DVD+R into my computer's DVD ROM drive and a blank DVD into the Lite On. I can play the DVD just fine on the computer. However, when I try to rip the dvd to my hard drive, I get an error message saying the video source can't be found. Can someone help me out? The DVD that I'm trying to rip and then make a copy of is an archived DVD of sex and the city, that was made on my Lite On DVD stand alone recorder from my Tivo. I want to make a back up copy. I am using the software that came with the Lite On which is Power DVD. Please let me know what troubleshooting things I should try. I am not phobic about working with this stuff, but don't know what step to take next to try and fix the issue. Thanks.
Your trying to backup a backup with PowerDVD? huh? Download the trial version of Nero, and do a disc copy.
