Just got a Digivox-t mmds and cant work it, please help

Thats not going to effect them from changing the system over because RTE is on analogue as that channel is FTA and wont be effected by the new cards anyway or N3

 

So 3 weeks until we receive new cards and then maybe another couple of weeks before channels start going dark. It'll be sadly missed.

 

if you are getting the cards, the stream must be set up already, so once ya get the cards in your area, your service will start dropping onto N3, so could be sooner, not like cable, MMDS is a smaller catchment area, so it may be a matter of less than 2 weeks from the card issue date, but like anything thats not an exact science

 

I'm not 100% convinced its all over soon... RTE is still analogue but it has plans to go digital in next couple of years, So...
Got the texts, got the letter, wont be changing the card !!

you could just get a dish and free to air reciever at about €175 fitted.i would say if you have to give your hard earned to anyone give it to sky,get a basic sub,and if a fix should come along you have the best of both worlds,at the very least you then have a dish and reciever giving you lots of free channels all bbcs all itvs ch4,e4,more4,ch5,film4 etc. im amazed at all the people i meet when im out that think you have to pay sky to watch these channels, but they are free .and free is good.best of luck with what ever route you take mate.

I can confirm that 1802 Kudelski (nagra3) has been in the stream for ch0rus MMDS for more than 3 months now. The end is nigh !!

 

ahh lads stop its that far away we will be watching next season on our channels so dont worry and thanks for aerial offer but it was not 4 me but the ol fella as i said mark my words.

 

listen gavin , wake up and smell the stream(n3) is here.. can you not take a hit from my last post who i work for,,, peeps here are only havin a laugh when someone posts nonsence like n3 is far away.. wake up mate and get into sat side of things

 

It dont mean because they are streaming N3 that they are going to use it because its going to take a while to get the cards out to people not to mention replacing all them old boxes that have the power supplies built in to them as i cant see them being capable of taking new software but of course i could be wrong.

This is going to happen im not saying its not but not going to happen in days this could take months to happen so anyone that has a box will well have got their moneys worth out of it at the prices U** are charging for a full package.

So what i would say to people that are reading this if your box is working good stuff dont post anymore info on here and just read the stuff as the less U** know the better all you are doing is feeding them info let them do their own work and try and find whats not working and what is.

if your box does go down and your not sure PM someone on these threads they will tell you whats what and that way you are not feeding U** info you can pm people look to the right the little head

hi all,just wondering when mmds eventually goes nag 3 route will it be a blanket roll out or hit the more populated areas first as i see it is it feasable to hit less populated areas where there may only a few existing customers where they will have to install new boxes etc.is it possible the lesser populated areas might escape nag 3?

Its not new boxes. Its new cards. So its not really all that expensive to do the change, in particular for chorus mmds. Look at sky who have rolled new white cars to all their customers. A lot more than chorus. But in that case you don't need to change your digibox. And yet they implement new security measures.

 

the end is near im afraid my workmates brother is with chorus he received letter on friday saying new software for his box two or three weeks and he will receive new card to activate it im in the north east area

 

I am wondering if leaving using the new card and software for as long as possible might extend us a few more weeks more?

 

no once they switch the channels over to nagra3 the channels will be blocked on your box,it wont matter if you leave in the old card,as the old card will just stop working. so putting off using the new card wont stop nagra3(that said untill they switch over keep using the old card for the free channels)once they switch off n1 and n2 and switch on n3 thats that.
