Just starting into the scene need some advice!

Ok I was reading on the chamelon and since it does 256k or 512k unlike the X-Ecuter2 that needs the bios to be 1mb since the chameleon does 256k and 512k I can just use the EvoxM7_ef.bin exactly how it is since it already is 256k? and the dummy.bin I made (100mb) and just burn those 2 on a cdrw? Anyone let me know if that is incorrect

 

Yes you can leave the M7 bios the way it is as a 256k size file.

Thanks so much I opened my xbox today to get a good look at it before I get my hands on the chip and it's a version 1 the LPC points have solder in them so for those who have the chamelon or are familier with it I am guessing I wont need to use the RIVETS? And I should be able to just flash it as the chips come? or do I have to change the switches

 

It should come with all 4 switches off. Four banks 256k in size. Using a disc to flash it, it will always flash bank 0 with a 256k bios or banks 0 and 1 with a 512k file.
