    Hi there!

Consider me as n00b in this field. I owned a video8 sony handycam ~10 years back and used it once in a while but that doesn't count.

    [bold]I need[/bold] to film dance performances/rehersals/lessons. So there's
    - a lot of movement that should be visible well (-> no smearing), even in slow motion and
    - sometimes low light (immagine a tango argentino club).

Both JVC camcorders I'm talking about have "F1.2 Aspherical Super Bright Lens for High-Quality Images" feature. Links:

    I can get the GR-DV 700 for 860 € and the GR-DV 4000 for 960 €.

    [bold]My question:[/bold]
Is there a (hopefully cheaper) alternative with similar capablilities at low light conditions?

If someone knows a better place (forum) to ask this question, I'd be glad to know.

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers tigre
