JVC player won't play DVDs

    I've got a JVC XV-S500BK, and it won't let me play any DVD's. CDs work fine, but when I put a DVD in it says "reading", then after about two or three minutes it says no disc. I used to just open and close the player, but its gradually been getting worse, and now won't work at all. If anyone has a solution to my problem, please let me know.

    I recently bought a JVC XV-S500BK.

    It plays DVD's fine. Maybe your's is faulty - i'd take it back and report the fault m8
