Hi. I have friends who sometimes want to borrow dvds from me. Naturally I let them borrow the backups I've made, but these don't have any copy protection on them. They could make as many copies as they wanted and I would never know the diff. Is there any way to make backups and leave the copy protection intact?

    Thanks
    Moon

umm no. if they have the ability to make copies of your backups, then common sense would say they also have the ability to make copies of your originals (just like you have). Either dont lend them, never let the discs out of your sight, or dont worry about it.

I remember reading about a way to password protect dvds but you can only read it on a computer (dont think your friends will appreciate this and dont know where i read this)

At the end of the day if you dont trust your mates who do you trust??
