keeps reading..green light stays on as if reading

    I have a dell 2400 with a samsung sw-252s cd/rw burner. I backed up some photos on a memorex cd-rw ultra speed media, and when I put the cd in, it just reads, when I try to access the d:, it locks up. anyone know why this happens?

    Yes, other discs work, but it seems as if all of my cd-re (memorex) are not working?

    Sure sounds like a media problem. The RW's may be worn out, low quality or both. It may help to try burning them as slow as possible :)

    I found the problem, The cd-rw had a mds file burned to it, thats why my drive wouldnt read it.
