keyboard shortcuts in excel

    i was wondering if there is any way to change/edit the keyboard shortcuts in excel 2000 for win2000pro. see, i have a laptop and i attached a external numeric key pad and everytime i press the minus sign (-) it enables the Extend feature in the Sheet tabs, i was wondering if i could remove/edit that shortcut so that the minus sign on my numeric key pad will only function as a minus sign. thanks for any help or suggestions

    TO my knowledge you cant alter the shortcut keys
