Why don't you update your box with the latest firmware, and then no need to mention that.

    Hi Guys,

Going to try and sort my Kryptview out myself.

I saw somebody say if they can do it anyone can so here goes.

Connected my box to the pc,downloaded the the loader and instructions, and 28112008 fix.

Can see the grey satellite dish icon.

    But then I fall down.

I click the grey satellite dish icon, then click the green download tab the box opens to look for the kryptview folder, but no folder exist.

Can I check this is the right link for the download?

    http://www.4shared.com/file/73514010/910...w_28112008.html

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

You want this link: http://www.4shared.com/file/74101466/64a0b1d0/Kryptview_29112008_1_8_5.html <-- latest firmware

Download and unrar the file to your PC ... THEN run the loader, click on the green "Download"

Navigate your way to the place where you saved the un-rar'd file (Kryptview_29112008_1_8_5), open it then proceed from there.

Remember! put the KV on standby (clock showing on display) before pressing the red button twice then the standby button on the remote and finally clicking on the Start button onscreen

Ok, I'm getting better, I've done exactly what it said in the instruction, my download was a success.

I've scanned for channels, on my service provider and in my area.

All the channels pop up in the tv and radio windows, but once scan is complete there are no more channels than before.

Is there anything else I should have done?

    Thanks

    Press MENU
    Press OK on Instalation menu
    Enter code 0000
    Highlite 'Factory Default Setting'
    Push OK
    Highlite 'Automatic Search'
    Push OK
    Push Green button
    Push OK
    New scan begins

You should always do master reset or go back to the factory default settings after flashing new firmware into a box.

Thanks very much, that seemed to do the trick. I may be a few channels light than before, but that's not the end of the world.
