Hi guys, hopefully someone can help. Have my Kyptview up and running. It works fine but the picture quality isn't great. The picture looks jumpy as if there's a low frame rate. This is on all channels but becomes apparent when watching soccer or anything with fast moving objects. Does anyone know if this is a common problem? Is there any way to fix it? I've not had this problem with any other digital boxes.

Edit: Fixed it myself. Pressed the NTSC/PAL button a couple of times. That did the trick.

I'm getting the same problem as JONNYK82 on new kryptview box. Unfortunately your fix doesn't work on mine. Only happening on 2 stations Alibi and More4+1 the rest are fine.
I put my old starview back on and these stations are perfect. Can't figure it out.

    Hi JennieR,

Why would you want to ?

There is no need to enter codes or anything like that with the Kryptviews.

You can no longer enter codes into any boxes so i would forget about that idea as the kryptview does not have an emulator to switch on as once you put the firmware on your box it will work straight away

all you need for that box is on the end of my post in my signature

how to set it up etc

these are the Arnet boxes below

[IMG]this is the older silver model

[IMG]this is the latest model available

this is the cable needed below if you have a comport on your pc
    [IMG]

this is what you need also if you dont have a comport
    [IMG]

    this is a VGA port

this is what you need on your laptop comport

This is the f connector adapter you need for your box

Radionics in Rialto Dublin stock them at 1.49euro each

or pick up a new cable with rf and push in connector most stores have these

    [IMG][/quote]

TO MANUALLY INPUT FREQ FOR MMDS ONLY AS IT DONT SCAN THAT

network >>>> you put your provider in here ie NTL
channel you can start at 1
frequency >>>>>>>> your first number (ie) 362.000
symbol rate >>>>>> if not on 6887 change it to that
modulation >>>>>> 64 QAM it should be on that
channel search type always at >>>>> network

then press the YELLOW BUTTON ONLY

you will need to do this for each freq number you have to get it right

    Hello fergusrb,
Thanks for your help and info up to now. I hope you can help with my problem.
I am flashing and scanning 4 boxes new from *** and I have no problem with 3of them.
The 4th box will not scan and keeps going back to the installation screen.

I checked and found that after a factory default if you look in Manual scan + Channel + arrow right you will see 7 TPs by default . These are not relevant to Dublin N**. When you do an installation the system goes to a screen which says “Adding TPs”. The next screen should ask you to select the Network ID (N** Dub Legacy for example) and then it scans for all the available channels on that set of TPs for N** Dub.If you check back to Manual scan + Channel + arrow right you will see 19 TPs now . These are relevant to Dublin N**.

With the faulty box the “Select Network ID” screen does not appear and the scan is done on the default TPs with no channels found and it returns to the start “Installation" window.

I have tried many re-flashes and factory defaults but it’s the same every time.

Can anyone help with this ? should I just send it back ?
Has anyone had to send a box back and how did it work out?

A lot of questions but this is the best place to ask them.
    Thanks in advance.
