Just go the Kryptview A750 today and I thought it would be flashed already but none of the channels work, do I have to flash it myself?

I hate asking when I should know but flashing this seems to be different to the Replylite, whats this about a Kryptview Loader?

Not that I would want to flash the box but if one wanted to, is there a page that would go through it step by step for me?

    Thanks, despite my ignorance!!

Thanks for that, I do what it says in the file but when I connect everything up the clock on my Kryptview doesn't go to 0000.

Then in the STB editor it says

    Can't open serial portCom1
Please check if the com port has the following parameters.
    Baudrate : 115200bps
    Parity:No Parity
    Databyte : 8 bit/data
    Stop bit : 1

Man, I hate dealing with software!!
Any help will be much appreciated!

Tried but it says 'The downloading is not requested'!! I'm pretty sure its all connected right, the clock still reads the time though. I have the right cables in anyways. I did what it said in the file you directed me too but it doesn't seem to want to work!

don't use the red button's option just turn it off at the back press download and then turn the box back on again.

Got mine today as well - remote very slow - anyway, in the download box , in the right hand bottom corner, its here that you can change the comm connection, if comm 1 doesn't work, try comm 2 until you reach the correct one

I don't know what you mean by red button option but I just tried doing it with the box off and still the same problem. However, when I switched to Com4 it comes up Read REQ Fail in the box under File. I'm doing everything I should do but 0000 just doesn't come up. It's not connected to the tele, only the power and computer and it's switched on. On the display it shows 4 lines in a row.

Make sure you are using the 19/3/09 firmware on your box

The laptop I'm using to flash the box isn't Vista. Com port 2 is the port that it is in but when I use Com port 2 it just says 'The downloading is not requested'.

Unless it's a very old laptop it wouldn't have a serial port?

Are you using a USB to Serial adapter & have you correctly installed the drivers for it?

It is the same two cables I used for flashing the replylite and it worked fine with that. The same laptop too and the drivers are still on it.

Have you checked in the device manager that the port is set correctly on the laptop?

How to Check & Change your COM Port number in XP

    Assuming you are using XP?

    Do the following.

    START
    Right Click "MY COMPUTER"
    Choose "MANAGE"
In the resulting window, click on "DEVICE MANAGER"
In the right hand pane, click on the little plus sign beside "PORTS" in the right hand pane.
Right click on the USB Adapter (Should be something like "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM#)
    Choose "Properties"
    Click on "PORT SETTINGS" TAB
    Click on "ADVANCED"
Then you will see the COM Port Number Box. You should be able to change it there using the drop down box.
Try to set it to COM2
    Restart Windows

Set Loader Software to COM2 & try to connect.

If that fails try another port number.
