Hi Guys, Does anyone know where I can get a Kryptview 750 in the Dublin area. All stations gone now so time to take a chance I think.
Lads,I've just got a new Kryptview A750 and bought the cable to flash it,I was going thru the procedure posted by yourselves,I had to buy a USB cable because I don't have the correct com port on the PC,anyway I don't seem to have a port tree under device manager, tried googling this but no joy.any help would be appreciated.
Mick take a look at HiTeck's Kryptview Guide you will find all the info you need there. You can use any unused port between 1 and 4.
Hi scOuser, that's the procedure I'm using already, problem is I can't actually look at the ports tree under the device manager because it's not there!
Are you using XP or Vista Mick? TBH I would use a desktop or old laptop with a serial port and leave out the USB adapter, if you know someone with either.
By the way, I can't see on the procedure wheather or not the A750 needs to be cabled up to the TV or powered up when I flash it,really showing my ignorance now!
So you cannot see the hardware tree in device manager? If so try this: 1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd.exe, and then press ENTER. 2. Type set DEVMGR_SHOW_DETAILS=1, and then press ENTER. 3. Type start devmgmt.msc, and then press ENTER When updating the KV the box should be powered down, then hit download, and then power box up.
I can whats below in device manager and as you can see there's nothing about ports. +Batteries +Computer +Disk drives +Display adaptors +DVD Drives +IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers +IEEE 1394 bus host controllers +keyboards +Mice and other pointing devices +Modems +Monitors +Network adaptors +Processors +Secure digital host controllers +Sound, video and game controllers +system devices +Universal serial bus controllers Thanks for you help
