Hi Karl - I did the factory default, new screen came up, went to bottom and selected autoscan, and pressed the green button. What came up was 'Add TP list'. Then added 6 TP's, went straight to Automatic Search and took about 20 seconds to scan thru Radio and TV channels before message 'COMPLETE (EXIT)' showed on screen. There was no mention of Legacy Channels. I feel that this is where my problem lies. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Mick.
should be 12 TP's,..it's a long shot but try the steps below,..it sounds very like the box is not clearing TP's & channels correctly after you do a factory default,..the original KV had this issue also,...try this.. (1)..remove N*L cable from the box. (2)..do a factory default. (3).. turn off the box & remove the the power & scart cables & leave it like this over night then try a new installation from scratch.
if you follow the instructions under mickrick1, karljd explains everything you need to do its about 2 messages above this one.
Got the box up and running. Issue was bad scart cable-hence no image. Channels are up and running. Many thanks all
Hi Everybody....Quick question. Just gonna order a couple Krypt's for that crowd advertized at the top of the page. (MyCa*leB*x) Just wondering has anyone in the Republic had any dealings with them ? And what are their shipping times like ? I was dealing with another crowd in the UK but they were chaging Preimum for postage and not delivering on time Cheers Bassman42
Thanks Karl, Lenny and Hiteck. I finally got box up and running this morning after a late night burning the oil. I found out from reading earlier posts on this thread that for MMDS in Galway you need to input specific frequencies. I did this, tidied up all cables/connections and hey presto. The only problem now is that I am used to the Channel Manager on Eurovox Max. Is there anyway to sort favourite channels etc? Another small gripe I would have that has been mentioned before here is the quality of the remote control -fairly poor. Onca again thanks.
Ordered mine early last week from Skywonder and it was delivered yesterday morning. I was happy with that turnaround.
hi guys, having a small problem, ive noticed in the past while the krtptview comes up as "no or bad singal" every once and a while ive changed nothing to make this happen just wondering if anyone has the same problem or is there a fix for this @bassman42 ive used boxmagic twice and have no problems plus its free shipping to ireland!! cheers
ive used boxmagic twice and have no problems plus its free shipping to ireland!! cheers[/quote] Thanks for that Rob2000. Never came across them before. But my luck as usual...They're out of stock at the moment. Went with M*CableB*x. I'll see how it pans out
Ah mick alway's handy to state were your living as we assume your on straight cable, you will need to sort the channels yourself, also you get used to the remote.
I didn't even realise there was a user's manual in the packaging with the box Karl. Just noticed it now so there will be no problem sorting channels, parental locks etc.
Mick - the remote might be a bit sh*&te but the manual looks like it was translated using a Chinese - Spanish - English sequence. Have fun!!!
the remote issue is a firmware problem, did you notice that the box responds properly before you flash the new firmware!! there was also a few batches of KV's shipped with faulty IR sensors,..a separate issue.
To be honest it seems same before and after. Only some buttons are slow to respond but for what I've got I'll live with it once teh signal doesn't break up as frequently!
