found com 3 seeming to work but it is saying the dowmload it not requested what should i do

 

just turn the box off at the back then hit download or start then turn the box back on straight away at the back

 

did that and still same message and im using xp should i redownlaod the software again and save it to my desktop

 

Where did you get the cable from you are using ?/

are you using a comport or usb adapter ?

 

anymore suggestions for me or should i just send the box back

 

im using a null cable with a usb adapter i got at maplins when i had replay lite days

 

fogo either you have not got it flashed, or you are not doing something right, prob a small prob i would say. But if you wish to send it back that's your choice.

 

its definatly flashed i got the completion msg each time i flashed it, could u give me the manual frequencies and ill try that

 

you will have to do a search for them but they are only for people on mmds and they wont work for you as you are on cable

before you start d.loading the software get everything set out, null cable in box and to computer or laptop, have loader and software ready to download now first turn of your box then press download on the loader once you press download turn your box straight on with the switch at the back you might have to do this 1 or 2 times its all about timing but when you turn your box on it should start downloading software, then to scan in your chanells, automatic search, scan network ok = n*l(if in dublin) and chanell search type = network, to get all your tp in,

i have heard from someone in nthell land that n3 is coming for all in aug/sept
it was good while it lasted

 

These Rumours are all over the forum, posted everyday with different dates everytime, everyone seems to have a mate in NTL when it comes to things like this!
Another post I read this morning says january, will people stop posting these rumours without proof!

here something I wrote earlier this is how I found which com I needed Hi just got mine loaded today might help some of you re which com to select go to my computer right click for properties click hardware then click device manager should see item called ports click on that and it will show the exact location mind you I have a disc that came with my null modem cable had to load it on first then press start however for me turning box off and back on didnt not work , so here what worked for me start price the red button which is in the middle of remote twice followed by the red standby button that is the button on the top left hand corner of remote. hope this is of some help bear in mind i'm only a newbie so I sure the some more experienced people around that may be able to help Good luck

It sounds like there's no signal going into your box.This may sound basic , but check the lead going from the wall to the box , what socket on the box is it plugged into?

 

its plugged into the video part thats right isnt it

 

It should be plugged in to the bit that says RF IN .

 

Can I use a kyrptveiw A750 in the swords area on Ch^&us cable

 

ha no way jesus im stupid, but the end of my cable doesnt have a screw in bit
