It might be your cable, it has to be a RS232 null modem cable.Other wise it sounds like it's your box.

Well if you've managed 2 already with no problems then you obviously know what you're doing, you must've got a dodgey box.Did you try doing a ' Factory default 'it's in the instalation menu. Then try to flash it.

quite possible as its a ribbon cable going from the serial port to a connector on thr main board, might be connected the wrong way around or not connected at all,.remove the power & get the screwdriver out & have a peek,...I've seen that happen on dreamboxes, these boxes are lashed out of the factory with little or no QC.

Hi - has anyone else had problems scanning?
I got my Kryptview today and flashed it with no problems.
However, when I go to scan the channels it doesn't seem to be working. I have followed the "scanning" link further up this page and I get to the screen where I choose my provider. I get as far as the final screen (titled Network Scan and Add TP List).
It waits on this screen for maybe 20 seconds and then my screen goes totally black and nothing happens. SCAN is still displayed on the front of the box at this point. Is it actually scanning and I just have to wait for an hour or so for it to finish or is it not working? It doesn't seem to be doing anything to me anyway.
Cheers in advance for any advice you could give.

Hi Guys, newbie here, thinking about buying a Kryptview 750 to replace my now sh***ed Starview. Latest rumour that I have heard is that by September no boxes will work, any truth in this or is it safe to buy now ? Thanks Mike. PS apologies if I have posted in the wrong thread!

Hi Guys, I have a Kryptview, I have tried to load the Arnet Firmware but my computer (Using my workplace computer as I dont have access to any other) will not allow it (Sonic Firewall protection stopping it) I cannot turn off this protection. Is there any other way I can get the firmware?
