another question is how internet usage will connnecting to a cs server take up. I'm on size L, 10mb, unlimited downloads. Is the kryptview always sending data back and forth or only when keys are updated. If I put box in standby will it stop sending and receiving data. Also how does the sub work on this, is it a year sub? I've googled sellers of this box can you recommend anyone else apart from the facebook contact, one site says they have them in on 25th Aug.
No there is "always data" going back and forward once connected (as far as i know) Not sure when in standby! But more than likely yes, As them boxes update when in standby No yearly sub on krypt again (as fas as i know)lol Try "mycablebox" for a krypt
How big is this data? aere we talking bytes, Kb, Mb, Gb. I use internet probably 3-4 hours a day maybe down odd movies now. If I switch it off during the day then that would stop data comms, then turn it on when I wanna watch it. That would remove any suspicions from virgin about my internet usage.
try keep to 1 thread with questions as it can be confusion for others who are reading and trying to help aswell data= very little either way they "can not" tell you are watching a box as mentioned a few times on posts and threads get a "VPN" for added security but make sure you know how to use it, 1 chap on here does that, as in sales/
ok last question. Is there a year sub on this box? If something goes wrong as was the case in the N2 days i.e. flashing the sV with new updates which was free. What will happen in the case of kryptview, I assume new updates will be available, but will it be free. And after a year will I pay for another sub as is the case with the satelite cs servers etc.
no yearly sub with that box future updates there free also remember who says the box will even last a year! (live for now)
Hi. Thanks for great info. I am thinking of purchacing a Kryptview A780 myself, now that my Erovox is redundent. However, I have a couple of questions and could really use your help. Firstly, will it work in Newcaslte upon Tyne, and secondly, would I need to have the internet connected continuously, or is it only necessary when setting up and flashing the box? Any support would be greatly appreciated. Regards, birdbox01
The box will only work in a Nagra 3 area, so you should be OK, but Seriously, folk need to start reading, on the first page of this thread their is a link on this box, guide on em, flashing em etc etc,
Hi can anyone tell me if in the forseeable future the 780 will be available in Ireland or is the dm500s the only thing we can that works thanks
no word on any cable boxs working in Ire in the future, nowt firm anyway, so its Sat for the lads in paddy land for the next while
Thankyou Mickah. Please try to understand that not everyone is as technicaly minded as you are. Besides, I have read through this thread and many others, but can't find any reference as to whether or not the internet conection hs to be continuous for the box to work, or whether updates can be sourced intermittently. Unfortunately, I don't have a static internet provider. I only have access to wireless via a dongle and my signal is sketchy at best. Your understanding and support is greatly appeciated. Regards birdbox01.
What happened to all the people that had these sv 6 box's in Ireland and were connecting to cs server? did they get caught? If they can raid the cs in ireland, they may just do it here in the Uk. Here's hoping not.
people, it is very simple. as a kv or sv user on n3 you connect to a huge (and very obvious) public server. do me a favour and take hooters advice. look at alternate options that are so much safer
Thanks for info. I have scan for channels but some are missing. eg sky sports 1. I am using kryptview 780 box, i got eveything from kryptview tutorial. Thanks
did you factory default your box fully and have the latest firmware on your box and you are also not using a split feed
