    mick dont use a pin to reset modem/router as it changes settings back to default lol,power off only.its a reboot

    OK the latest on the Krypt, there is one SRV running at present and its limited to 5000 boxs, so the more that log on, the longer it takes to get up and running fully, SV had this issue to, best connect when its up and running fully, Up to you guys, but I would say hold fire until ya hear more on it,

    OK Thanks for the info - so in the meantime how do I fix this SV7 so I can keep as a backup for future use or flog it on even - it is still a doorstop.

    i would say flog it and get youself a sat box and a csline WITH HD CHANNELS and sat 3pm k/o for footy kv/starview are soooo behind the times and the servers are so easy to get taken down. and best of it most who are using the kv/sv servers ip are using vermin b/band lol like a big arrow pointing to the servers saying we are here

    Yes I already have a DM800HD all set up and working it has been my saviour as KV a780 and SV7 are always letting me down.... Think I will try and fix the SV7 if I can work out how to reflash it via the rs232 and flog it on.

    yep thats the way to go. we had a good run at vermin but alas no more for now and nothin is safe untill its cracked,but at least with a sat box and csline if the server gets taken down you just move onto a different cs server and your box aint a doorstop like the kv/sv boxes and quality is far better more channels mor sats if you want them.

    Sorted the SV7 which lost its operating system and appeared to be bricked this is what I did....
    1. switched box on waited for a few seconds until booting has finished.
    2. Switched box into standby on the remote using red power button
    3. Turned box back on so that 4 dashes appeared on the display
    4. Pressed MENU on remote once
    5. Pressed DOWN ARROW BUTTON once
    6. Pressed RIGHT ARROW BUTTON once
    7. Pressed DOWN ARROW BUTTON twice
    8. Pressed O.K BUTTON repeatedly until the box automatically decided to reboot itself
    and hey presto the operating system returned so I could re-flash via the USB.

    Simples!

    I just reflashed my SV7 did a scan and got pretty much everything all sports movies etc although it is freezing and locking up quite badly at the moment especially kids channels.

    update have not got all the documentaries but do have discovery and Nat Geo
    everything else appears to be there though sports 1,2,3,4, sports news sky news movies including premiere

    SV7 is working - however KV A780 is not so good still scrambled

    Nothing in Edinburgh yet despite rescan, reboot. I would be expecting to see more people stating their box was up and running if it was a roll out.

    I appreciate the effort involved but I will wait until I see definite signs of recovery before doing anything more.

    Please note you need the the firmware from this year on your box >> 03012011 you need to flash this to your box as the firmware download from the net is not available NOW so i suggest people that dont have this firmware on or the one after that put that one on now


    Also reboot your box and router as well that could help people not getting any channels but if you are on older firmware this is not going to help you update to the last known firmware and flash it on your box
