but one would surely imagine it will at some time be implemented over here...

does the kryptview work with it? if so, maybe thats a smarter purchase...more future proof like

For me a Kryptview at present in terms of support and pic quailty, The EUROVOX, DIGIVOX are working in the UK at present, but take a leaf out of the book, stick with a Kryptview, a lot of Irish users are still in the dark with the lack of support or fixs for the EUROS, DIGIVOXS etc

Starview I wouldnt touch in any shape either

Thats the one mate, good all round box, better supported at present than others, aspect ratio is correct on programs, their is a reminder function also, EPG is good.

I would PM ya more but a few infantile's on here might accuse me of being Fergus, Darth Vader or some other entity,

But anyways, thats the best advise I can give ya

yes at the present time, but you never know what will happen in the future, they could stay on for a long or short period. Thats the chance we all take

well my 2 eurovoxes have been working for maybe 18 months - 2 years, something like that...

the reason i asked that was that, if ireland has changed its system and therefor made the eurovoxes kaput, yet the kryptview still works.. if they implement the same system over here in tha toon.. then surely kryptview will conquer it here as well...

i guess if they could stop it, they would have done so already...? or does it mean too much expense or what to do it

In a nut shell, no one can give any definates on if and when the boxs will work or not work, at present the Kryptview will work on N1 and N2 and thats as far out as one can go, Ireland hasnt actually changed its system as such, just moved it up a notch on the encryption level The UK are going to something different to the NAGRA system, no one knows for definate what will work or not, N3 is the target over here and at present it hasnt been cracked as such, the way I look at it is if you get 6 months out of any box, this has paid for itself and more, so I wouldnt be looking any furthur than this with boxs as the goalposts change all the time,

Sometimes history is a good indicater for the future, The Kryptview team, ITGATE and SV4 currently have fixed their boxs, but as I said in the latter posts I wouldn't go for a Starview. ITGATE is not my forte so cant really comment on the do's and donts.
